At a rally, former President Donald Trump made reference to a well-known Florida politician, and the response was quite negative. Raucous jeers from the audience were directed at Governor Ron DeSantis.
No love is lost between Trump backers and DeSantis followers.

The leading GOP hopefuls, Trump and DeSantis, have swiftly developed into fierce rivals, and there is little indication that their hostility will soon lessen.
Even though Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was in the area for the GOP primary debate, Trump didn’t specifically mention him during his rally in Hialeah.
When former President Trump identified someone who has long backed him, he unexpectedly received a chorus of audible boos at the star-studded gathering, despite the fact that he generally garners support from his strongest followers.
At the rally, Trump made reference to Republican Representative Carlos Giménez. You should hear it for yourself:
Giménez’s name was difficult for Trump to say, but the audience knew who he was referring to right away.
Everything collapsed as the boos enveloped the room with savagery.
The loud chorus of jeers aimed at one of Trump’s most ardent followers obviously took him by surprise.

“Oh, you don’t like him?” At the moment when the jeers grew louder, Trump inquired.
Following a few more jeers, Trump felt obliged to inquire, “What’s going on?”
“Carlos! Come on, Carlos,” Trump added. “We gotta get that straightened out.”
Trump kept checking to see how the crowd was responding to Giménez, and when he truly seemed astonished, he yelled, “Really? Wow.”
Confusingly, Giménez isn’t favored by the MAGA camp, despite his persistent endorsement of Trump. This is not the first time the local politician has been publicly criticized by Trump fans.
At a rally, Miami-Dade Mayor Giménez saw an animated and vociferous group of Trump fans, as reported in the Miami Herald’s 2020 story.
Giménez, who has often expressed opposition, boldly claimed on Fox News that Trump won the GOP primary debate even though he did not take part in it.
