In the 2024 presidential contest, Democratic Representative Dean Phillips of Minnesota is expected to oppose President Joe Biden.
A picture and a short video of a bus bearing the sign “Dean Phillips for President” traveling down an Ohio highway were shared on social media on Tuesday by Jason DeRusha of WCCO in Minnesota.
DeRusha also mentioned that “Make America Affordable Again” was one of the campaign slogans displayed on the bus.
“SPOTTED: The Dean Phillips for President bus is already on the road. Photo from my friend Amy Waller, who sells German wine, on the road in Ohio. Bus says “Make America Affordable Again” and uses his slogan “Everyone’s Invited!” Website isn’t live, but just registered 10/12,” DeRusha tweeted.
Phillips is expected to make his candidacy announcement in New Hampshire on Friday, according to WCCO. If that’s the case, he will only miss the state’s primary filing deadline, which is also this Friday.
Phillips was a much-anticipated candidate.
He abruptly resigned from both the Democratic Caucus leadership and the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. He could be getting ready to challenge the president, based on this audacious approach.
In August, Phillips pleaded with Biden to put the welfare of the nation first and think about resigning. Along with mentioning Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, he also recommended possible successors from among the party’s ranks of governors.
Readers, don’t fall for it. Phillips is not an ethical man. He opposes Biden only because of the aging and waning popularity of the president.

“I’m representing what I believe to be the majority of the country that wants to turn the page, tired of the meanness and the fear-mongering of Donald Trump, would like to see Joe Biden, a wonderful and remarkable man, pass the torch, cement this extraordinary legacy,” Phillips told Todd.
Phillips is hardly the only unimportant person who may cause issues for the president’s campaign.
Politicians’ concerns about Biden’s age, low approval rating, and other issues are brought home to them by Phillips’ campaign.
The political left and even members of his own party have presented the president with several obstacles thus far.
