With former President Trump polling at 51% to president Joe Biden’s 49% among registered voters, the survey indicates what may amount to a “close presidential race,” according to the pollster.

Marquette penned:

“The outcome of the election may be determined by the success of respective efforts to mobilize voters over the coming 13 months,”

With 51% of probable voters behind him, Biden is currently in the lead; Trump has 49% of the vote.

Find the real cause of the result—hyperpartisan division, not Biden’s strategies or skills.

According to Interactive Polls’ summary on X, previously Twitter, Trump is easily and significantly exceeding Biden on the most important subjects. They stated that the poll reveals that Trump leads Biden in the following areas: “the economy” (52% to +24), “border security” (52% to +24), “inflation” (50 to +23), “creating jobs” (49% to +19), and “foreign relations” (43% to +5).

Biden won 39% of the vote against Trump’s 37%, narrowly defeating him in three crucial categories, including “Medicare and SSA” by a razor-thin margin of 2 points. In addition, 43% of respondents strongly supported Biden’s position on “abortion”.

Biden had a further setback when 77% of those surveyed stated that the statement “Is too old to be president” characterizes him “Very Well” or “Somewhat Well”.

By segmenting the data into the most important categories, registered voters had a disastrous 77% unfavorable assessment of the economy under Biden, with over a third (32%) calling it “poor” and 45% indicating that it is “not so good.” This is especially concerning in light of Democratic strategist James Carville’s 1992 admonition that “It’s the economy, stupid.”

A recent poll with a margin of error of +/-4.4% polled 868 registered voters between September 18 and 25. A sample of 690 people who were likely to vote was drawn, with a +/-4.9% error margin. The survey has drawn criticism, meanwhile, for what seems to be an oversampling of Democrats (400 respondents vs 381) in favor of Republicans. These results present a very concerning picture for Biden and his team.

The survey also asked Republican-leaning individuals about their choices for the Republican primary race, and the results indicated that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was well behind Trump’s closest rival by a whopping 44%:

  • Former President Trump 56%
  • Florida Gov. DeSantis 12%
  • Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley 6%
  • Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy 4%
  • Former Vice President Pence 4%
  • Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., 2%
  • Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie 1%

According to Newsmax, “Biden flips the results and leads Trump by 8 points (53%-45%) among those ‘not too/not at all enthusiastic’ to vote, perhaps putting the age-old emphasis on voter turnout.” Dick Morris, a consultant for the Trump campaign, noted for the publication that despite trailing Biden by significant majorities in mail-in votes, Trump managed to bridge the gap with significant advantages on Election Day.

Thursday’s TruthSocial Post from Newsmax stated: “Not only is former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden by 3 points among registered voters in the latest Marquette Law School Poll, Trump’s lead also widens when voter enthusiasm is considered.”
