Florida’s Matt Gaetz and seven other Republicans have joined forces with the unified Democratic caucus to oppose the California Republican’s appointment as speaker.

The news of Nancy Pelosi’s eviction notice, which was the first to be published on Tuesday, is making headlines. She was the previous Speaker of the House.

The former House minority whip Steny Hoyer was then “kicked out of his Capitol hideaway,” according to a tweet by Punchbowl News creator Jake Sherman on the social networking site X, which replaced Twitter.

Sherman drew attention to the scarce supply of Capitol real estate while highlighting the power of the House majority.

“[W]hether you think it’s right or wrong, Republicans are going to exact revenge for a long while over the MTV vote,” he wrote. “[Y]es, it was an internal party squabble. [B]ut the GOP thinks Dems shouldn’t have sided w Gaetz.”

“Expect more of this, GOP sources tell us,” he said.

Pelosi is ejected from her private office in the Capitol by McHenry’s audacious maneuver.

This was one of the speaker pro tempore’s first steps after the vote to remove McCarthy, according to Fox News.

According to Politico, the communication was sent through email.

“Please vacate the space tomorrow, the room will be re-keyed,” The House Administration Committee said in an email.

The memo explained that the area was being reallocated “for speaker office use.”

According to Politico, House members have private offices in the Capitol.

According to a spokesman from Pelosi’s office, the maneuver was successfully carried out by the staff of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Pelosi described her compelled exit from the party as “a sharp departure from tradition,” claimed to have handed Dennis Hastert, a former speaker, “a significantly larger suite of offices for as long as he wished” when she assumed the post.

Pelosi made the trip to California to attend Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s burial in order to pay tribute to her memory.

After a historic vote, Congress advances and settles the office shuffle that followed McCarthy’s dismissal.

Tuesday evening, The Washington Post reported an unusual development: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was seen leaving his office holding a suspicious box. McCarthy said that he will not be running for the key position, shocking his fellow GOP members, as reported by Politico.

Despite being slated to examine budget bills, according to Politico, the House will now take a break until next week.
