The sequence of events that took place around Vice President Mike Pence’s refusal to return the electoral votes to the legislatures on January 6, 2021 stood out to me among all that was addressed. Many of us have always been curious as to what took place that day behind closed doors.

Trump’s justification clarified the reasons why conservative voters are turning against former Vice President Mike Pence. Not only were his statements understandable and considerate, but they also hit the target.

Trump stated that Pence’s lack of leadership at a key time endangered the future of our country.

Pence could have rectified the issue by returning the electoral college ballots to the state legislatures for review and confirmation, but Trump exposed a simple solution to a tricky legal issue.

“He had to be a human conveyor belt. Those votes have to go right in to Mitch McConnell, who, by the way, is very bad for the Republican party. He’s almost like a Democrat vote. He gives them whatever they want. I don’t know what’s wrong with this guy. There’s something wrong.”

“But even if they confirmed it and sent it back, Mike Pence would have been popular. But he wouldn’t do it.”

Find out why Pence might not be the most endearing candidate among the Republican field. It’s challenging to establish a genuine connection with him because of his stiff approach and appearance of excessive polish. Other candidates, on the other hand, show genuine emotion, ranging from annoyance to passion, which makes them more personable.

To that end, despite his continued insistence that he is a “principled” guy, Pence really fell short when the occasion called for it, necessitating that he stand up and defend the constitutional republic. Even with Trump encouraging him and offering a reasoned, systematic course of action, he was unable to complete the task.

The words of Trump, “Well, you should … it would be really good for the country. And I think you could have said, ‘there’s is a lot of dispute, there’s a lot of anger. I’m going to take one week, send it back to five or six legislatures, and at the end of the week, they have to give us their answer, their response. It’s a one-week thing. The Democrats would have complained, but nobody could have really been that upset with it. We are not taking the votes. We are just sending them back to legislatures. And he didn’t want to do that.”

Even though Pence ought to have followed his convictions and given the electoral votes back to the state legislatures, his actions helped the Democrats. Unluckily, he made a critical error.

Why would conservatives, or anyone else, allow him to assume the far more significant position of President of the United States? Particularly in light of his prior poor judgment, which offered Democrats and their supporters the chance to modify the law after January 6.

Democrats acted decisively after becoming concerned about the hazy consequences for their ability to retain the president. They made sure that this matter would never come up again by effectively removing the vice president’s ability to protect our future elections.

Trump himself said, “He had the right to do it. You know why? Because right after the election was over, they changed the law so that the vice president can’t do what I said he could do. Very deceptive. Very terrible.”

Democrats took advantage of the precedent that Pence’s actions created by guaranteeing that their actions could not be contested. Pence essentially contributed to the Democrats’ efforts to harm our country unintentionally, and he did so without putting up much of a fight. Additionally, he unsettlingly turned his back on Trump, the only person who continuously defends our country against all obstacles. Trump is steadfast in his goals despite the numerous challenges that have been put in his path.

He is the very definition of being out of touch since he is unforgivable and has no redeeming characteristics or abilities. Pence, the only contender who is unaware of the feelings present, need to possibly rethink his campaign and conserve his resources. It is obvious that he has no prospect of success.

Pence’s credibility has been damaged by his lack of leadership and dedication to Trump, the election, and the voters at a pivotal time. His chances of winning the Republican primary will always be hampered by this pivotal event.

When he is placed beside the other Republican candidates, many conservatives find it impossible to even look at him. His polling results confirm this. “I see a poll that just came out. He’s at two percent. It’s sad,” Trump said. Kassam replied, “That’s within the margin of error, by the way.”

According to FiveThirtyEight, Pence’s campaign is waning. His popularity has dwindled to a meager 4%. In response to criticism, Trump said, “I would have done the complete opposite.”

Trump is right to say that Pence ought to have taken his counsel, as doing so would have produced better outcomes. It is questionable, though, if this would have been sufficient to beat the opposition. Trump’s current polling rating is an amazing 54 percent, as well.

I can only conclude that Pence is deluding himself if he believes he will recover tomorrow or any other day. Although it appeared like Trump won the Republican primary debate on Wednesday night because he was more present than any other contender, he is contaminated, and there are better options competing.

He has successfully persuaded them to support his cause without the knowledge of the other contenders. This distinct trait characterizes Trump and is the reason for his enormous appeal.
