Former Yankees pitcher from the legendary 1998 squad criticizes awakened corporate culture and urges Nike and Bud Light to put the needs of their customers above political correctness.
At Yankee Stadium, World Series champion pitcher David Wells made a provocative statement by hiding the Nike emblem on his uniform. According to the Daily Caller, Wells even said that if he were pitching today, he would be willing to take the recognizable swoosh off of his jersey.
“I hate Nike! They’re woke!” Wells told The Athletic. “We’re in a different world. It sucks. That’s why everyone should carry a gun.”
An incredible pregame ceremonial was seen by a 60-year-old baseball fan at Yankee Stadium. The celebration honored the outstanding 1998 Yankees squad, who are remembered for their sensational 114-game winning streak and ultimate World Series victory. This celebration made it clear that Major League Baseball has changed its mind about underachieving players. Additionally, there are rumors that the league hosts occasions like Drag Night in order to appease the leftist mainstream media. For instance, the Los Angeles Dodgers got into trouble after allowing a troupe of drag queens to perform before one of their games while costumed as nuns.
“I don’t care who it was, if he was in the stink hole — pardon my French, if you can say that now. I don’t know. But send that son of a gun to Triple A or Double A and send him a wake-up call,” remarked the former pitcher.
“They did it to me. They did it to a lot of us back in the day. You’ve got to send a message. I don’t care how much money you’re making.
“Send a message to them and let them go sit down there and think about it. That’s what you have to do. I think now they coddle them too much. They baby them. … It’s up to your peers to make you better.”
Wells’ remarks were evidently too much for sacked MSNBC presenter Keith Olbermann, who wrote on X that the pitcher “would drink wood alcohol” if given the opportunity.
Olbermann was quickly hushed by Wells’ retort.
“Keith shut the f*** up. Just because you never played the game and all you did was work for espn and talk shit on all of us players because you have a degree in journalism makes you an expert on putting Athletes down. And thats if you even have a degree. Stick to your politics,” Wells wrote.
