Trump’s Surprise Move for GOP Primary Debate!

Former President Donald Trump declined to participate in the first Republican primary debate for the 2024 election. The discussion was facilitated by Fox News and held in Madison, Wisconsin.

He first said he most likely wouldn’t participate in any of the GOP debates. He appears to have changed his mind, though.

“Do you anticipate at some point jumping into the debates?” Trump was questioned on Todd Starnes’ radio show, according to the Washington Examiner.

“I might. I mean, you know, it’s possible. I liked debating. I guess I won because of the debates,” he said. “You know, they’ve been very good to me. So I might. But at this moment, I’m leading by so much that it seems to be foolish to do it.”

The source added the following:

Trump will not take part in the opening debate, according to a dependable source close to him. This choice, though, only applies to the first two debates, leaving open the possibility of future participation should he change his mind.

Trump’s perspective has changed as a result of a recent Emerson College poll that showed a sharp decline in his support following his decision to skip the debate. Trump had the support of 56% of Republicans before the debate, but this number fell to 50% after it.

When Todd Starnes asked, “Mr. President, what is happening at Fox News?” regarding Steve Doocy of “Fox & Friends” spotlighting Trump’s drop in the polls following his decision to boycott the debate, President Trump voiced his unhappiness with the media outlet.

“Well, he’s incorrect because most of the polls, and I’m way ahead in Emerson, too, but most of the polls literally have me going up a lot since the debate, if you can call it that,” Trump said. “They’ll pick one poll where if you go down a little bit, they’ll use that one poll, but they won’t use 15 polls or a lot of the polls where you go up. But we’ve gone up very substantially, and we’ve gone up in just about every state.”

Make a note of the highly anticipated forthcoming GOP debate on September 27th on your calendars. This event, which will be held at the esteemed Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute in Simi Valley, California, shouldn’t be missed.

As justification for his decision to skip the debates, Trump recently cited a CBS News poll that showed a sizable 62% support.

The most recent CBS POLL shows that I have a commanding lead over the competition. I have a strong 62% backing, which puts me 46 points ahead of DeSanctimonious, who is losing a lot of ground in the polls. Pence, Scott, Haley, Sloppy Chris Christie, and Aida Hutchinson each have 5%, 3%, 2%, 2%, and 1% support, respectively, while Ramaswamy has 7% of the vote. This poll’s outcome clearly demonstrates how well-supported I am by the general public.

“The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!” he added.

Trump, a leading GOP presidential candidate in 2024, is methodically getting ready for his impending appearances on cable television. He recently had a sit-down interview with former Fox News star Tucker Carlson in response to the first Republican debate. This action comes amid the four charges he is currently being held on.

During a recent part of his program, CNN host Jim Acosta showed signs of astonishment when a network polling analyst said that despite the indictments, Trump is really “in a stronger position” right now compared to 2020.

Analyst Harry Enten noted during an interview with host Jim Acosta that the most recent polling data shows Trump has considerable momentum, surpassing even his prior campaign at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak.

A survey by Quinnipiac University from February indicated that President Joe Biden had a 2-point advantage at the start of the election. The most recent survey, however, shows that Biden’s advantage has shrunk to just one point, which is inside the margin of error.

“When the race is that close, it comes down to the Electoral College, and who knows what happens with that,” Acosta responded. “We don’t even have those kinds of numbers just yet.”

“But from a national standpoint, you’re absolutely right. It is remarkable where Trump stands right now when it comes to the rest of this field and with general election voters,” he added.
