Breaking: Trump’s Candid Take on Ronna McDaniel and RNC

Former President Donald Trump recently talked about the Fox News GOP primary debate, which was held after his indictment in Fulton County, Georgia. In spite of his absence, he commented on the role the Republican National Committee played in enticing his opponents to take part in the discussion.

The 45th president made surprise remarks regarding RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel during an exclusive interview with Newsmax aboard Trump Force One. Trump now accepts that McDaniel handled a difficult situation beautifully and treated him respectfully, despite earlier concerns about her devotion.

“Fox has turned on you, not all of them but most of them. And the RNC arranged two debates at Fox News. It seems like maybe they did that because they had the understanding that you might not be treated fairly over there on Fox News,” surmised the Newsmax host.

“No, I think the RNC has been good to me, they really do. I think Ronna’s a good person, we’ve gotten along for a long time. She ran my whole Michigan area when I won Michigan in 2016… She ran Michigan and she won and because of that, I was instrumental in getting her to head the RNC. She’s very good, she’s a very good person,” said Trump.

Astute political maneuvering can be seen in President Trump’s choice to criticize Fox News independently of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Trump must continue to respect the RNC as the party’s ruling body even while he is now campaigning for the Republican nominee. President Trump predicts that the RNC will have a national convention in 2024 due to his big lead in recent polls. This will advance his campaign to the general election and expose him to millions of voters who have not yet participated in the early stages of presidential politics.

In response to a question, President Trump discussed his evolving relationship with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is presently challenging him for the nomination. Trump asserted with assurance that DeSantis is in his current position because of him.

The Newsmax anchor questioned DeSantis about whether he had chastised him for backing Dr. Fauci throughout the discussion. But Trump skillfully switched the attention to his old friend.

“Let me tell you about Ron DeSanctus as I call him. Without me, he wouldn’t be governor. He was failing desperately. He came to me, begged me for an endorsement. I gave him the endorsement, and he went up like a rocket ship… I passed on a very hot candidate. But without me, he wouldn’t have gotten the [GOP] nomination. He was down by 35, 40 points, tremendous amount. And I will tell you that he loved Dr. Fauci,” said Trump, the Florida governor allegedly refused to act without the “approval” of the country’s leading infectious disease expert at the time, citing specific instances.
