Find out which phone call proved Donald Trump’s innocence.

On January 2, 2021, President Trump called Brad Raffensperger, the secretary of state for Georgia, sparking Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ tenacious pursuit.

“All I want to do is this: I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won this state, and flipping the state is a great testament to the country,” Trump said. “I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break.” “It’s just not possible to have lost Georgia. It’s not possible,” Raffensperger heard Trump say.

Willis’ main charge against Trump and his close circle is that they pressured Raffensperger into engaging in electoral fraud, according to Willis.

Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard law professor, emphasizes the relevance of the one phone conversation as “exculpatory” evidence for the defense.

“If I were a defense lawyer in this case, I would start with that phone call. It’s the most exculpatory piece of evidence,” Dershowitz stated.

According to Dershowitz, the precise meaning of the term “find” is that Trump was not asking Raffensperger to rig the Georgia election in his favor.

Trump sought a recount of the votes, according to Dershowitz, in order to find legitimately cast votes that would demonstrate his victory in Georgia.

Dershowitz describes his work on Al Gore’s legal team during the recount of the 2000 election, when they painstakingly looked for ballots they thought would demonstrate Gore’s win over George W. Bush in Florida.

“The word ‘find’ has a dictionary meaning. It means they’re there, they’re there to be found. Just please look hard and look for them. That’s what we did in Florida. We thought there were enough votes that could put Gore over the top,” Dershowitz added.

Willis is outlawing legal counsel and political ploys.

Because citizens have the power to select their leaders and may voice their dislike of Trump’s actions by voting against him, Dershowitz warns that this is a dangerous scenario.

“There was possibly more that could be done but in any event you don’t make it a crime if it is a matter of degree,” Dershowitz added. “You say to people don’t do it next time or you condemn people. You don’t vote for them. That is the ultimate check and balance. Don’t vote for them.”
