Joe Biden was certain that he was prepared to defend his son, Hunter Biden, through the use of a strong legal system.
Joe Biden, however, was given unflattering information.
After receiving a severe ultimatum from a court, Hunter Biden may have to go back to jail.
A plan conceived by the Biden Justice Department was directly stopped by Judge Maryellen Noreika, who was nominated by Trump. Hunter Biden was given the chance to confess to two minor tax violations in exchange for immunity from further prosecution.
The planned arrangement would have given the Justice Department the authority to obstruct any Congressional inquiry into Joe Biden’s suspected receipt of a bribe from the founder of Burisma or Hunter Biden’s alleged involvement in foreign lobbying. Because Joe and Hunter Biden were fully aware that they were exempt from criminal prosecution, the Biden Justice Department may have claimed that the investigations were still underway.
Judge Noreika rejected the plea agreement because she thought it could have been illegal. The deal featured clauses that gave her the power to assess whether Hunter Biden had broken the rules and should be sent back to jail.
This condition was inserted into the agreement by Hunter Biden’s legal team and the Biden Justice Department out of worry that Donald Trump would win the presidency in 2024 and try to put him in jail.
Hunter Biden submitted a not guilty plea, which gave his legal team and his father’s Justice Department time to work out a new arrangement.
Thanks to Judge Noreika, the new agreement does not provide complete protection from prosecution in the future.
Hunter Biden was seen mingling at a famous White House state banquet just days after reaching a plea deal, but Judge Noreila didn’t just let him enjoy himself there.
Hunter Biden must submit to random drug and alcohol testing in order to meet the standards. He is not allowed to use drugs or alcohol in any way, and he is not allowed to own a gun either. He must also make a serious effort to look for lawful work and follow all applicable state regulations.
