The police have detained three people: Elizabeth Fuster (age 22), Labarrius Williams (age 33), and Josue Gonzalez (age 20).

A Miami police investigator was contacted by the airport’s security director to look into a string of persistent thefts. As a consequence, the agents responsible for the thefts were caught.
Following a thorough investigation, the authorities were able to get video footage showing the agents taking money from other customers and taking $600 from one person.

Authorities detained three people on Thursday, including Elizabeth Fuster (age 22), Labarrius Williams (age 33), and Josue Gonzalez (age 20). According to arrest papers that WFOR-TV has access to, they are accused of participating in organized fraud schemes.
A police investigator was approached by the federal security director at Miami International Airport (MIA) regarding thefts occurring at Checkpoint E. Investigations revealed that three TSA employees had planned to divert travellers from security checks while stealing money from their bags.
The detective looked at CCTV tape, and it showed the three agents removing $600 from a passenger’s wallet while they were going through security. They planned to steal in “several” other incidents, including this one.

Following a complaint and in-depth investigation, agents were detained. Employees of the TSA are essential to maintaining safety.
According to a TSA spokesperson’s statement, “The Transportation Security Administration holds its Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to the highest professional and ethical standards and has no tolerance for misconduct in the workplace. We actively and aggressively investigated these allegations of misconduct and presented our findings to [Miami-Dade Police], and are working closely with them. Any employee who fails to meet our fundamental ethical standards is held accountable.”
