Ben and Jerry’s Parent Company Unilever Just BLEW Billions

The Vermont-based corporation Ben & Jerry’s had financial issues as a result of embracing a woke philosophy.

Shortly after Ben and Jerry’s openly attacked the United States for being built on “stolen Indigenous land,” Ben and Jerry’s parent company, Unilever, saw a massive $2 billion market value drop.

The New York Post reported the following:

The parent business of Ben & Jerry’s experiences a large market value decline of about $2 billion as a result of criticism and boycott demands. The reason? a divisive post from July 4 castigating the US for occupying “stolen Indigenous land” in Vermont.

Following a 0.5% dip the day before, Unilever’s share price fell 0.8% on Thursday.

On Thursday, the stock price of the corporation finished at $51.31, approximately $1 less than Monday’s closing price of $52.28. The day before Ben & Jerry’s tweeted an unpatriotic message, this decrease took place.

Market capitalization for the outcome dropped from $130.2 billion on Monday to $128.5 billion today.

The board of Ben & Jerry’s, which Unilever purchased but whose members are still free to express their opinions on political matters, said the July 4th celebrations may be a lot of fun. “Distract from an essential truth about this nation’s birth.”

“This 4th of July, it’s high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it,” Ben & Jerry’s website and its official Twitter account both announced it.

Since Ben & Jerry’s declared the United States to be “stolen Indigenous land” on July 4, the value of Unilever’s shares has plunged.

Tuesday, Ben & Jerry’s stated that it is “high time we recognize that the U.S. exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it.” The business later sent Twitter users to their website, where a thorough piece recommended that Americans start with Mount Rushmore.

The statement generated immediate and unfavorable criticism, with many seeing comparisons to Bud Light’s controversial partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. In a move similar to the criticism directed at the beer firm in the past, Twitter users are now calling for a boycott of Ben & Jerry’s.
