Jane Fonda calls on males to be held responsible for their part in the “climate crisis,” focusing in particular on white men. Over the weekend, she calls for “arrests and jail” time at a prestigious film festival.
“It is a tragedy that we have to absolutely stop. We have to arrest and jail those men — they’re all men [behind this],’ Fonda, 85, said at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday. The longtime far-left activist added there, “would be no climate crisis if there was no racism.”
“White men are the things that matter and then everything else [is] at the bottom,” she continued, saying.

Due to her iconic encounter with North Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War, Fonda became a popular subject on social media on Memorial Day as a result of user reactions. She was seen seated atop an anti-aircraft gun that was being used to shoot down American airplanes. The fresh focus has not satisfied veterans.
While there, Fonda delivered a number of messages over the notorious “radio Hanoi” propaganda station of communist Vietnam. The actress criticized American POWs, charged them with war crimes, and demanded their execution. The North Vietnamese were also exhorted by her to “hold out” in the face of “American imperialism.”
“According to international law, these men are war criminals,” Fonda spoke of the North Vietnamese detaining and frequently torturing American POWs at the time. “That’s according to law. According to the Nuremberg principles, the Geneva accord and others. They should be tried in front of a court and probably executed for what they did.”
People were quickly reminded about “Hanoi Jane” and her travel to Vietnam by veterans and other Twitter users. “Jane Fonda is trending on Memorial Day. She will forever be a treasonous, gold-digging harlot,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Jane Fonda is trending on Memorial Day Weekend! The only thing Hanoi Jane should be trending with treason, traitor, & jail!” said another.
