The well-known former Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, shares great news with his audience: a brand-new show is in the works! Carlson tweets that it’s time for something new and exciting, inspired by his well-known cable news program. Watch this space for further developments!
“There aren’t many platforms left that allow free speech,” In a video sent on Twitter, Carlson claimed. “The last big one remaining in the world, the only one is Twitter, where we are now.”
“Twitter’s not a partisan site. Everyone’s allowed here, and we think that’s a good thing,” he added.
When Elon Musk bought Twitter last year, he underlined the value of having a place where ideas can be freely exchanged for the advancement of democracy.
Although Twitter is an open platform, Carlson said in his film that the majority of news sites who publish there are “thinly disguised propaganda outlets.”
His program makes an effort to differentiate itself from the competition.
“At the most basic level, the news you consume is a lie, a lie of the stealthiest and most insidious kind. Facts have been withheld on purpose, along with proportion and perspective. You are being manipulated,” he said.
“The best you can hope for in the news business at this point is the freedom to tell the fullest truth that you can. But there are always limits and you know if you bump up against those limits often enough you will be fired for it,” Carlson observed.
Carlson was let go by the network last month despite being the anchor of Fox News’ most popular program.
The decision to terminate Carlson is thought to have been taken by Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corp., but Fox has not provided an explanation. The Los Angeles Times cited anonymous sources for this information.
Murdoch allegedly objected to Carlson’s reporting on the Capitol intrusion on January 6, 2021, in part because he questioned the role of federal law enforcement authorities.

According to Carlson’s video, “You can’t have a free society if people aren’t allowed to say what they think is true. Speech is the fundamental prerequisite for democracy. That’s why it’s enshrined in the first of our constitutional amendments.”
“Free speech is the main right that you have. Without it, you have no others. See you soon,” he concluded.
Carlson’s video had over 7 million views in the first hour of its publication.
