Tech tycoon Elon Musk recently added his support to the rising chorus calling for legislation prohibiting gender reassignment procedures for adolescents.
“Absolutely,” the Twitter CEO replied to an open question posed by online commentator Matt Wallace, reading, “Should permanent gender surgeries for little kids be banned immediately?”

Most of the folks who responded to Musk’s tweet did so in favor of his viewpoint.
American politics are already ablaze with debates over whether children should have access to medical procedures like surgeries and hormone therapies, especially with the transgender rights movement in full gear. On one end of the spectrum, there are data-driven advocates supporting their claim that these treatments provide relief from psychological discomfort; on the other, some people contend that the long-term effects make them an unwise decision for children.
Just a few days earlier, Musk infuriated liberal commentators by saying that any parent or physician who supervises gender reassignment surgery on a youngster “should go to prison for life.”
Elon Musk attaches a special relevance to the current political discussion. His transgender, 18-year-old daughter openly petitioned last year to sever all family ties with him, blaming neo-Marxist philosophy for the decision’s influence throughout her school years.
Recently, protesters and activists clashed in front of Boston Children’s Hospital, a controversial location for juvenile transgender surgery discussions. Numerous people voiced their concerns on the streets last year, which even resulted in a bomb threat being made against all parties involved.
Progressives have attempted to depict opposition to gender reassignment surgery as anti-LGBTQ+, although a well-known pro-gay group recently voiced support for deferring medical transitions until adulthood.

Ryan Woods, a complex person with distinctive and varied viewpoints, recently spoke at a Utah Senate committee about his group’s resistance to proposed limits on transgender operations. He contributed a great deal of insight into this contentious subject as a drag performer, a passionate admirer of Trump, and a spokesperson for his group.
“I”m here to stand up for little boys like I was, and tom boy girls … for being groomed, manipulated, drugged, chemically castrated, and essentially tortured, as we heard from Chloe,” Woods said. “It is wrong to convince children that they are in the wrong body. Nothing could be more abusive or harmful to an innocent child like I was then to be told something is so wrong with you that we have to cut off your body parts.”
