Early in 2021, Dr. Robert Redfield publicly stated that SARS-CoV-2 could have been unintentionally discharged from a lab working on gain of function research. He was apparently removed from meetings run by his colleague Dr. Fauci because of this stance.
Marjorie Taylor Greene questioned former CDC director Robert Redfield on Wednesday over the origin of the coronavirus. “Was this something that would be in line with gain of function research and the capabilities it would provide to a virus?”
“Yep!,” Redfield said.
MTG asked, “Did you know of any evidence they found within three days from February 1st to February 4th to be able to confirm that it was not created in a lab?”
“As I mentioned earlier, I was excluded from those conversations…and to be excluded I found [this] unusual,” Redfield pointed out. “When you have a group of people who decide there can only be one point of view, it can be very problematic.”
