Independent journalist Megyn Kelly, who has had her fair share of contentious comments, harshly attacked Whoopi Goldberg for her recent remark regarding white people. Kelly tried to attract attention to the co-host of ABC’s “The Viewrude “‘s and improper words throughout the exchange by becoming angry and assertive.
Whoopi Goldberg controversially said that police violence won’t change unless white people can relate to it, sparking a heated discussion on “The Megyn Kelly Show.” The host of the program harshly criticized her response because it was made in light of Tyre Nichols’ recent passing from what appeared to be police brutality in Memphis.

“The media coverage of this case has gone away awfully quickly, there is nothing close to what we saw after George Floyd, even though the beating was even more brutal. … You’d think there’d be outrage that would be ongoing, but no, because it doesn’t have the very sexy race angle that the Left loves to play out and put on loop,” Kelly said. “But that hasn’t stopped people like Whoopi Goldberg … from making a typically inane comment about this case and our country.”
Kelly added: “Seems things don’t seem to make sense to people unless it’s somebody they can feel, or they can recognize. Do we need to see white people also get beaten before anybody will do anything? I’m not suggesting that, so don’t write us and tell me what a — you know, what a racist I am…It’s not that you are a racist, it’s that you’re dumb. That’s your problem.”

The premature death of Tyre Nichols in Memphis sparked a nationwide debate, and Roxanne Goldberg’s inflammatory comments about it propelled both of their names into the news.
“Peaceful protests continued nationwide after Friday’s release of police footage showing officers savagely beating Tyre Nichols in Memphis. So far, five cops have been charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping,” Goldberg said to begin the show.
“I asked this question way too many times at this table, but you know, when will the brutality finally lead to some police reform from the ground up? Because clearly, it doesn’t matter if it’s a white policeman or a black policeman. It is the problem with the policing itself. It seems things don’t make sense to people unless it’s somebody they can feel or they can recognize,” she said.
“Do we need to see white people also get beat before anybody will do anything?” the host said before quickly putting her comments into context.
“I’m not suggesting that. So don’t write to us and tell me what a racist I am. I’m just asking, is that what people have to see in order to wake up and realize this affects us all?” she said.
Sunny Hosting eagerly stepped in as a cohost of the debate despite not having seen the film.
“I haven’t been able to watch the video because I’ve seen so many. As a mother of a black son who is 6’2″ and 20 years old, my worst nightmare is what is probably on that video,” she said.
Goldberg has received numerous criticisms for his purported discriminatory beliefs over the last two months. His divisive remarks have caused him to come under fire from a variety of quarters, leading to a barrage of bigotry allegations.
Whoopi Goldberg has once again found herself the target of public reprimand, this time due to a casual remark she made about the Holocaust in an interview. The entire incident happened as Whoopi was promoting her much awaited film “Till.” When a young black kid is brutally murdered by white supremacists in 1955 Georgia, the movie tackles contentious issues including racism and hate crimes. It goes without saying that awareness of these concerns is very high, especially in regards to Nazism!
Earlier this year, Joy Behar’s shocking comments regarding the Holocaust created a heated debate that resulted in her termination from “The View.” Although she first expressed regret for speaking so carelessly on such a delicate subject, new interviews with The Sunday Times raise the possibility that her regret was possibly not true and was instead an attempt to deflect further criticism.
“Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision,” the actress said.
Goldberg (real name Caryn Elaine Johnson) was educated about the horrible racial laws that Nazi Germany implemented during World War II by Janice Turner, a journalist and Nazi Germany historian. She explained how they treated Jews as if they were a separate race, a monstrous act that caused unimaginable pain across Europe.
“Yes, but that’s the killer, isn’t it? The oppressor is telling you what you are. Why are you believing them? They’re Nazis. Why believe what they’re saying?” she said.
“It doesn’t change the fact that you could not tell a Jew on a street,” she said. “You could find me. You couldn’t find them.”
“But you would have thought that I’d taken a big old stinky dump on the table, butt naked,” she said, in reference to her comments that got her suspended from the show.
“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race. So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race,’” she said.
