Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and her friends, according to Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), are “domestic terrorists,” she said in an appearance on MSNBC’s “Ayman” on Saturday.
Rep. Maxine Waters spoke with presenter Ayman Mohyeldin on her tremendous sadness over Tyre Nichols’ loss and her ardent support for substantive police reform. She stressed the significance of finding a middle ground between the two parties so that justice may be delivered on behalf of those who have been lost due to systematic injustice when asked whether Republicans would cooperate to promote such reform.

Waters replied as follows: “It’s the Marjorie Taylor Greene Republican caucus. And so I don’t expect anything from them.” Continuing, she went on to say “and you heard what McCarthy said. He said that he just loves her, and that he’s going to do everything he can to protect her.”
And at that point, she referred to them as domestic terrorists, saying:
“We have these right-wing conservatives who are, you know, we have domestic terrorists in the House of Representatives.
“These people are extremists. And so I am not optimistic that that is the way that it is going to happen until the people of this country really decide that they do not want it, and they are not going to elect people who act in the way that they act.”

Recent remarks by Waters triggered a frenzy of discussion on Twitter, where many people voiced their perspectives. It was evident that this issue had the people buzzing and anxious to share their opinions, whether they were in agreement or disagreement.
“The term “domestic terrorist” has truly lost any weight with normal thinking ppl. Calling anyone who doesn’t agree with you a terrorist on a regular basis makes them numb to it to the point they embrace it in a comical like sense”
“Just like the word nazi, they’re normalizing the word terrorist now. Watering it down to meaninglessness. But to them, Ultra Mega top tier freakout.”
“Liberals will call anyone the nastiest names if they don’t agree with them, will not even debate.”
“I wish that Republicans were even a fraction as based as Democrats make them out to be”
“As the saying goes, “Guilty dog always barks first”
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) responded to Waters on Twitter in a similar manner, stating “Maxine Waters says that we have House Republicans who are domestic terrorists. [I]nteresting, as I don’t remember anyone in the House who has called for more violence than Maxine Waters.”
In an analysis on the rationale behind Waters and the left’s promotion of the “domestic terrorism” narrative, ZeroHedge stated:
Domestic terrorism has come to the forefront as a serious worry for national security and public safety throughout America in the aftermath of the unsettling events of January 6, 2021.
With reference to the events of January 6th at the Capitol Building, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) revealed an incredible FBI whistleblower’s disclosure in September that the agency had been “manipulating” data to fraudulently show domestic terrorism as a more pervasive concern than it really was.
“The manipulative casefile practice creates false and misleading crime statistics,” Jordan cited the whistleblower’s allegations.
“Instead of hundreds of investigations stemming from a single, black swan incident at the Capitol, FBI and DOJ officials point to significant increases in domestic violent extremism and terrorism around the United States.”
The whistleblower claims that a Washington task team identifies “potential subjects” associated with the investigation from January 6 and prospective residences for them. The task force then requests that numerous local field offices around the nation launch investigations by sending “information packets” to them.
