Rep. Boebert praised House Speaker McCarthy for his dedication to upholding members’ standards of conduct by removing individuals with dubious policy stances from their committee assignments.
Representatives Schiff, Swalwell, and Omar were expelled from the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Intelligence Committee, respectively, as a result of Representative McCarthy’s aggressive attempts to fulfill his campaign pledges, as addressed by Representative Boebert and host Dan Bongino. McCarthy seems dedicated to making significant reforms on these panels.

“You heard what McCarthy said, they won’t have Swalwell on any committee. Joining me, is Lauren Boebert. Seriously, Swalwell is a disaster. We know about the scandal with ‘fang fang.’ How is this guy still on the intel committee getting briefings?” Bongino asked Boebert.
“Thank you for providing cover for us. We are fighting for these legislative wins we received. These fun times amount to changes. As far as Swalwell. The last Congress congressman was removed from his committee because he made a video. But little Eric took a walk and refused to take the vote. He’s compromised and he should be nowhere near secret classified information. Dan: Adam Schiff as well. He wasted six years of our life fantasizing about some Trump peepee tape that didn’t exist. Then he got busted trying to push another hoax about Russians and Devin Nunes,” Boebert said.
“They are showing their colors. They are a bunch of conspiracy theorists that have witch hunts and hoaxes they chase after. They wanted Trump in jail over classified documents. With Biden, it’s let’s wait and see. They attacked Don Jr. and praised Hunter Biden. If it was a Republican caught with a Chinese spy, what would they do? They would be all over it. But the fake news, they would be running 24/7. And most Americans haven’t heard about everything that’s going on. Not only has gone back to Swalwell, but he was also a subcommittee chair. And in one hand he’s holding a gavel and in the other hand, he’s holding a hammer and sickle. Dan: congresswoman Lauren Boebert, thanks for all you did up there, it was a good time,” she added.

McCarthy made a key pledge in November as a consequence of the House Republicans’ shaky win; this promise would eventually have broad ramifications.
“Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector. Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets to America? So, I will not allow him to be on Intel,” he said. “You have Adam Schiff, who had lied to the American public time and again. We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”
Republicans recently criticized Congressman Swalwell when it was revealed that a purported Chinese spy had been in touch with him. The California Democrat’s official spokesman responded to these allegations by claiming that he hadn’t spoken to the operative in around six years and that the man had done nothing illegal.
Since playing a key role in President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial, Adam Schiff has been a point of friction within the Republican party. GOP lawmakers who vehemently oppose the committee’s creation claiming “politically driven” motives are further enraged by his selection to the investigation committee on January 6.
McCarthy has also long pushed to have Omar, a member of the “Squad,” removed from her position on the Foreign Affairs Committee on the grounds that the Minnesota Democrat has a history of making antisemitic remarks. Omar, who was first elected in 2018, has sparked a number of debates for her anti-Israel views and has been accused of antisemitism in the past for making particular statements.
Rep. Mike Garcia of California pledged last month to remove Congresswoman Ilhan Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee because of earlier remarks regarded to be “antisemitic.”
“We watch antisemitism grow, not just on our campuses, but we watched it grow In the halls of Congress,” He spoke at the Las Vegas leadership summit of the Republican Jewish Coalition in 2022.
“I promised you last year that as Speaker, she will no longer be on Foreign Affairs, and I’m keeping that promise,” He remarked as the crowd applauded.
McCarthy uploaded a video of himself making the promise on Twitter: “The Speaker does not have the power to remove a member from a standing committee. Foreign Affairs is a standing committee. Each party has their own rules and procedures for assigning committee roles. Only a majority vote by the entire house could remove Rep. Omar.”
