A terrifying attempted kidnapping in Honolulu, Hawaii, was stopped after a 77-year-old woman sprang into action and rallied nearby residents to rescue a younger woman who was being forcibly carried toward a suspect’s vehicle.
What began as an ordinary morning in one of Honolulu’s residential neighborhoods quickly turned into a frightening confrontation that could have ended very differently if not for the courage of an elderly bystander.
The incident unfolded shortly after 10 a.m. on October 26 in the Diamond Head neighborhood, where a 24-year-old woman and a 77-year-old woman were walking through a parking garage, according to local station KITV.
Surveillance footage shared on social media reportedly captured the disturbing encounter as a large man approached the two women from behind. Following an exchange of words, the man suddenly attempted to grab the younger woman.
