A massive ancient Jewish ritual bath, weighing approximately 25 tons, has emerged from Israeli soil remarkably intact, offering a rare glimpse into religious life during the era of Jesus Christ.
For centuries, critics have questioned the historical foundations of biblical accounts. But discoveries beneath the soil of the Middle East continue to provide tangible evidence of the people, places, and customs associated with the ancient world described in Scripture.
The latest example comes from Kiryat Gat, a city in southern Israel, where archaeologists uncovered and extracted a remarkably well-preserved Jewish purification bath dating to the Second Temple period, roughly 2,000 years ago.
The structure was so substantial that specialists needed a massive crane to lift it from the excavation site without destroying it.
