A bizarre early-morning incident at a Texas grocery store has turned an ordinary bathroom emergency into a costly encounter with police.
Authorities say a 60-year-old man drove his Chevrolet HHR directly into the pharmacy entrance of a Kroger store in Rosenberg, Texas, after discovering that the business was closed and its restrooms were unavailable.
The incident happened around 4:28 a.m. on September 27, according to the Rosenberg Police Department.
Police said the driver “intentionally accelerated” toward the pharmacy entrance, sending the vehicle through the doors and into the building.
