The Trump administration is escalating its crackdown on far-left extremist networks, with the U.S. government taking action Wednesday against an Italy-based technology collective accused of providing digital services to violent extremist groups.
The State Department, working alongside the Treasury Department, designated Autistici/Inventati, commonly known as the A/I Collective, as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. The action places the group under significant U.S. financial restrictions and bars most transactions between the organization and Americans.
A State Department memo obtained by Fox News also identified Portland-based Rose City Antifa as one of the American groups that allegedly used the collective’s digital infrastructure. The memo described broader connections involving the same technology services and communications platforms used by several organizations designated by the U.S. government as foreign terrorist groups.
