A growing confrontation over Los Angeles’ homelessness strategy is putting the city’s controversial harm-reduction programs back under the microscope.
A new video from Turning Point USA’s Frontlines team claims to show organizations operating on Skid Row providing drug paraphernalia to people experiencing homelessness. The footage comes just days after members of the Trump administration traveled to Los Angeles to criticize the city’s approach and call for a stronger emphasis on addiction treatment, recovery and personal responsibility.
The Frontlines report features independent journalist Jonathan Choe visiting several locations around Skid Row. According to the report, he was able to obtain supplies that included methamphetamine pipes, syringes, cookers and other items associated with drug use.
