Dems’ Troop Pullout Plan CRASHES!

Senate Republicans once again stood behind President Donald Trump on Iran, defeating a Democratic-backed effort to force Congress to take action against the administration’s ongoing military campaign.

The measure failed by a razor-thin 49-50 vote, leaving it one vote short of the support needed to pull the war powers resolution out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and bring it before the full chamber.

Three Republicans — Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Rand Paul of Kentucky — broke with their party and voted to advance the measure. But Democrats could not overcome the lone Democratic vote against it.
