An Alaska Airlines flight headed for Seattle never made it off the ground Sunday after an alarming confrontation involving two passengers triggered an emergency response aboard the aircraft.
Flight 305 was preparing to depart Miami International Airport when crew members reported that passengers had made threats serious enough for the pilots to secure the cockpit, stop the aircraft, and demand police assistance.
The Boeing 737 had already left the gate and was taxiing toward departure at approximately 6:40 p.m. when the trouble unfolded.
