Report Claims Illegal NYC Votes Exceeded Mamdani’s Lead

A growing election-integrity controversy is emerging in New York after a prominent activist claimed her organization’s investigation uncovered irregularities significant enough to raise serious questions about the administration of the 2025 New York City mayoral election.

Marly Hornik, founder of RealAmerica.Vote and NY Citizens Audit, says her team’s findings suggest election officials may have counted large numbers of ballots linked to voters who could not be verified. Hornik argues that the issue extends far beyond the outcome of a single race and instead raises broader concerns about confidence in the state’s election system.

Speaking during a July 22 interview on WABC’s Sid & Friends in the Morning, Hornik stressed that she is not claiming to know whether New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani actually lost the election. Instead, she argued that the evidence her group uncovered points to what she described as serious deficiencies in the voter rolls and election oversight.
