Fresh scrutiny is falling on the family of Representative Ilhan Omar after a new investigative report uncovered business records linking one of her sister’s companies to an address associated with individuals convicted in what prosecutors have called the largest fraud scandal in Minnesota history.
While neither Omar nor her sister has been charged with or accused of participating in the fraud, the newly published findings are fueling renewed questions about business connections surrounding the sprawling Feeding Our Future investigation. The controversy comes as lawmakers continue examining one of the biggest alleged thefts of taxpayer dollars ever uncovered in the state.
The investigation, first reported by The Daily Wire, centers on Sahra Noor, Omar’s sister, and a consulting company she registered in Minnesota. According to the report, Noor incorporated Grit Partners Consulting using a residential address in Lakeville that investigators say has ties to individuals connected to the massive Feeding Our Future scandal.
