The conflict between the United States and Iran intensified Monday as American forces launched another wave of strikes against Iranian military infrastructure, marking the tenth straight day of military action aimed at protecting international shipping lanes and countering Tehran’s efforts to disrupt maritime traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
The latest operation targeted a broad range of Iranian military assets that U.S. officials say have been used to threaten commercial shipping and regional stability. According to U.S. Central Command, the strikes focused on command facilities, missile positions, drone launch sites, air defense networks, and maritime capabilities tied to Iran’s ongoing campaign in the region.
“U.S. forces struck Iranian military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems to degrade Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial vessels flowing through the Strait of Hormuz,” U.S. Central Command posted on X.
