Washington was stunned over the weekend after the sudden death of longtime Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who remained actively engaged in foreign policy work right up until his final hours.
The South Carolina senator, one of the GOP’s most recognizable voices on national security and international affairs, spent part of Friday in Ukraine discussing the ongoing war with Ukrainian officials and advocating for a tougher response against Russia.
According to reports, Graham showed no visible signs of health problems before his unexpected death Saturday evening at his residence in Washington, D.C.
