Michelle Obama Hit With New Accusation

Hollywood’s political divide may have spilled onto another major television project, with a new report claiming former First Lady Michelle Obama played a role in keeping actress Cheryl Hines out of Larry David’s upcoming HBO comedy series because of Hines’ connection to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Donald Trump.

The allegations, first reported by the Daily Mail, center on HBO’s upcoming seven-part comedy, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America, a project created by Larry David to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

Michelle Obama serves as an executive producer on the series through Higher Ground, the entertainment company she founded alongside former President Barack Obama. Barack Obama is also expected to make a guest appearance during the series.
