For years, conservatives have argued that the modern Democratic Party has drifted further away from traditional American values. Now, a newly released survey is adding fresh fuel to that debate, with poll results suggesting a striking divide between Republicans and Democrats over national pride and their desire to live in the United States.
According to reporting highlighted by Campus Reform, a new survey conducted by Elon University found that a majority of Democrats would rather live somewhere other than the United States if given the opportunity. The findings have sparked renewed discussion about patriotism, civic identity, and the growing ideological divide between America’s two major political parties.
According to the survey, “55 percent of Democrats answered ‘yes’ when asked whether there is another country where they would rather live today than the United States.”
