Texas law enforcement has once again exposed how deeply embedded human smuggling operations have become inside the United States, after state troopers uncovered a stash house operating out of a hotel room in Eagle Pass. What appeared on the surface to be an ordinary lodging situation quickly unraveled into a disturbing discovery involving illegal aliens, gang ties, and a wanted fugitive hiding under blankets.
According to authorities, four illegal aliens were found concealed inside the hotel room, attempting to avoid detection by covering themselves. But the most alarming detail came after troopers identified two of the individuals as documented gang members tied to a violent street organization.
Two of the men discovered inside the room were identified as members of the Rollin’ 30s Crips. The individuals, Joseph Angel Gusman and Daniel Castillo Dionisio—both 21-year-old Honduran nationals—were not first-time encounters for federal authorities. U.S. Customs and Border Protection had previously flagged both men as inadmissible, citing prior illegal re-entry records. In other words, they had already been encountered, processed, and removed—only to return again.
