Virginia Democrats are once again raising eyebrows over election security after newly elected Governor Abigail Spanberger announced plans to sign an executive order aimed at keeping federal immigration agents away from polling places during elections.
The move immediately sparked backlash from conservatives who say the order raises an obvious question: if illegal immigrants are not voting, why is there a need to shield polling sites from immigration enforcement in the first place?
During remarks delivered at an event hosted by the left-wing Center for American Progress, Spanberger revealed that her administration would issue new guidance instructing election workers on how to respond if federal agents appear near voting locations.
