Vice President JD Vance turned up the heat on Senate Republicans this week, publicly demanding immediate action on the SAVE Act as frustration continues to build among conservatives over what many see as a sluggish Republican-controlled Congress.
Appearing before a crowd at a manufacturing facility in Kansas City on Monday, Vance delivered a fiery message aimed not only at Democrats, but also at members of his own party who have struggled to move key election-integrity legislation across the finish line.
The vice president made it clear that patience among the Republican base is beginning to wear thin.
“I’m not asking you to support congressional Republican leadership because you agree with everything Republicans do in Congress,” Vance told supporters. “I get frustrated with them from time to time. By the way, pass the SAVE Act. That’s something they need to do.”
