President Donald Trump wasted no time shutting down Iran’s latest response to the White House proposal aimed at ending the growing crisis in the Middle East, delivering a fiery message Sunday that made clear he has no intention of backing down from Tehran’s demands.
After Iranian officials reportedly sent their answer through Pakistani intermediaries, Trump responded with a blunt statement on Truth Social that immediately grabbed attention across Washington and beyond.
“I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘Representatives’. I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” Trump wrote.
The sharp reaction came after the United States presented Iran with a sweeping 14-point framework earlier in the week designed to de-escalate tensions and prevent the regime from advancing its nuclear ambitions.
Under the American proposal, Iran would have been required to halt uranium enrichment activities for at least 12 years, abandon any effort to build a nuclear weapon, and surrender roughly 440 kilograms of uranium already enriched to 60 percent purity — a level dangerously close to weapons-grade material.
