One woman told CNN that what started as casual conversation quickly turned into something uncomfortable. Two women alleged that in 2021, Swalwell sent them “sexually explicit messages and unsolicited nude photos and videos of himself.” Another woman described receiving “sexually tinged messages and videos,” suggesting a repeated pattern of behavior rather than isolated incidents.
Perhaps most troubling are the claims from a former congressional staffer who said she entered into a consensual relationship with Swalwell after he began communicating with her on Snapchat. During that relationship, she alleged that he sent “nude photos of himself and videos of him m***bating,” which reportedly showed both his “face and naked body.” According to CNN, these materials were saved and later reviewed by the network.
The staffer also described the dual nature of his communication. “His stories would be his, like, congressional content, but then he would be sending me d**k pics,” she said. She further claimed that Swalwell sent another “explicit video” as recently as late last year, only weeks before launching his 2026 gubernatorial campaign in California.
Additional accounts in the report paint a picture of blurred boundaries. In one instance, Swalwell allegedly offered to write a letter of recommendation for a woman he had never met after exchanging flirtatious messages about her “sexy pajamas.” In another case, a young woman named Clara Miklaucic said she was just 19 when Swalwell approached her while she was working as a restaurant hostess.
Miklaucic told CNN that after a brief interaction, Swalwell later contacted her on LinkedIn, complimenting her name and continuing with flirty messages. “I remember being surprised getting a message from him since I didn’t give him any information, other than probably my first name,” she said. “He was literally over double my age.”
Another woman reportedly had to remind Swalwell of his personal life, telling him he was “married with three kids” after he allegedly suggested they spend time together.
The report also includes claims that Swalwell reacted aggressively once he became aware that his messages were being documented. CNN stated that after reaching out to his legal team, Swalwell allegedly contacted several women in the early morning hours, questioning them about screenshots of his messages.
