Ford HUMILIATES Chevy by 8 Seconds at Nürburgring

A high-stakes battle between two iconic American automakers just took a dramatic turn on one of the most demanding race tracks in the world. At Germany’s legendary Nürburgring, Ford Motor Company has fired back at General Motors in a way that left no room for debate.

Just months after Chevrolet celebrated overtaking Ford in the performance rankings, the tables have turned in decisive fashion. The result was not a narrow win or a marginal improvement. It was a dominant statement that has reignited one of the fiercest rivalries in automotive history.

Last summer, Chevrolet made waves by posting a faster lap time and publicly celebrating its victory. The company even taunted Ford online, declaring, “Corvette fans – we got ’em.” That jab didn’t go unanswered. Ford CEO Jim Farley responded directly with two simple words: “Game on.”

This time, Ford delivered.

The newly enhanced Ford Mustang GTD Competition stormed the Nürburgring with an official lap time of 6:40.835. That performance didn’t just edge out the competition, it crushed the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X by more than eight full seconds.
