A disturbing act of violence in Hawaii is raising serious questions about how far political hostility has gone in America.
A 15-year-old boy allegedly beat a 52-year-old man unconscious in Honolulu after spotting three letters on his clothing: ICE.
The shocking assault unfolded quickly, and video of the incident spread online before federal authorities even had time to clarify a critical detail. The victim, it turns out, was not an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer at all.
But by then, the damage had already been done.
Violence Erupts in Tourist District
The incident took place Saturday evening in Waikiki, one of Hawaii’s busiest tourist areas.
According to reports, the victim approached a small group while wearing a tactical vest labeled “ICE.” What happened next escalated rapidly.
