First Sitting President EVER at Supreme Court!

President Donald Trump took a bold, historic step Wednesday by personally attending oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court, a first for any sitting president. The session focuses on the legality of his executive order aimed at ending automatic birthright citizenship.

Trump reportedly arrived roughly ten minutes before the proceedings began, signaling his deep personal interest in the case. “I’m going,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday. “Because I have listened to this argument for so long.”

Traveling alongside Trump was Attorney General Pam Bondi, who will join him in the courtroom to hear the arguments. Their presence underscores the administration’s commitment to defending the January 2025 executive order, which seeks to limit automatic citizenship to children born to at least one U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed to NBC News that the president planned to attend the Supreme Court session, noting it is focused on “the constitutionality of a January 2025 executive order that seeks to limit birthright citizenship.”
