Oprah Winfrey, once the face of WeightWatchers and a symbol of hope for millions battling obesity, stunned the world recently at Paris Fashion Week. The media frenzy isn’t just about the photo—it’s about the story behind it, one that most outlets are conveniently ignoring.
Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back when she saw Oprah at the fashion shows. On the March 6 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, she admitted, “I would not have recognized this as Oprah Winfrey if it were not labeled as such by video online.”
Oprah appeared at two major runway events: the Stella McCartney show and the Chloé Fall/Winter 2026 collection. At Chloé, she sported high-waisted jeans, a peach ruffle blouse, and a cropped suede jacket. At Stella McCartney, she wore a salmon blazer, tan pants, and a crisp white shirt. Social media exploded—some cheered, others called her look a “deepfake.” One viewer even estimated her weight at 125 pounds.
Kelly’s reaction wasn’t celebratory. “She is not skeletal, but she is extremely thin for Oprah, and, I have to say, I miss heavy Oprah,” she said. “Is she going for hot at 72? Her whole thing was always that she was like a mother earth character who you could hug, who would feel your pain, and you could cry on her couch.”
