Carville’s Omar Comment Is Turning Heads!

Carville delivered the blunt assessment during a recent appearance on the Straight Shooter podcast hosted by sports commentator Stephen A. Smith. During the conversation, Smith pressed Carville about remarks the veteran strategist previously made in 2025 on his podcast Politics War Room, where he openly criticized Omar and the growing influence of progressive lawmakers often referred to as “the Squad.”

Rather than soften his stance, Carville made it clear that his views have not changed.

The longtime Democratic operative, who gained national prominence as a key strategist for Bill Clinton during the 1992 presidential campaign, said Omar’s rhetoric and political approach clash with the coalition Democrats need to win national elections.

“Lady, why don’t you just get out of the Democratic Party,” Carville said about Omar. “Honestly, start your own movement.”

Carville’s remarks reflect a broader internal debate within the Democratic Party over how much influence the progressive wing should have over the party’s direction and messaging. The strategist has repeatedly warned that the party risks alienating large segments of the electorate if it embraces rhetoric that paints entire groups of voters as political enemies.
