MTG Says Young Voters “Hate This”

“The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!” Trump said.

That declaration did not sit well with Greene, who responded almost immediately on X with biting sarcasm. Once a loyal Trump ally who frequently campaigned alongside him, Greene made clear she views the Iran strike as a complete abandonment of America First commitments.

“Great Mr President. Good job,” Greene wrote, dripping with irony as she addressed the commander in chief.

She then escalated her criticism, suggesting that Trump’s support for the operation reflected generational and economic divides within the Republican base.

“Most of your baby boomer friends and supporters, I’m sure are cheering you the most,” she continued.

Greene went even further, claiming younger Americans overwhelmingly reject foreign military interventions and the financial burden that comes with them.

“But us younger generations, Gen X (mine), Millennials, and especially Gen Z hate this fucking bullshit.”

The former congresswoman framed her argument around economic hardship at home, asserting that American voters are struggling while Washington pours resources into overseas conflicts. In a longer post accompanying a screenshot of Trump’s statement, Greene accused the political class of ignoring the financial realities facing everyday families.

“You’re a billionaire and the American people, not the Iranian people, who voted for you are not billionaires,” she wrote.

Greene detailed what she described as a nation drowning in debt, with citizens crushed by rising costs and shrinking opportunities.

“As a matter of fact many of them are flat out broke, in all time high credit card debt, can’t afford health insurance or car insurance for that matter, and most young people can’t afford to buy a house or even their rent payment,” she added.

She contrasted those struggles with what she called the economic advantages enjoyed by earlier generations, arguing that today’s families face obstacles unheard of decades ago.

“Your generation, the baby boomers, your families were able to thrive on single incomes and now that’s practically impossible for the vast majority of American families. Let alone, imagine being a single mother.”

Greene also warned of dire long-term consequences, predicting fiscal collapse and generational fallout from what she labeled decades of reckless leadership.

“Because we all know that in 10 years when the baby boomers that have been in charge of ALL of America’s disastrous decisions are retired or passed away, us younger generations will be left with no social security checks because it will have gone bankrupt, over $50 Trillion in debt, and a dollar that won’t be worth shit.”

She concluded by reminding Trump of the slogan that once unified their political efforts.

“We, as in YOU and me, campaigned on America First,” Greene wrote.

“And this is NOT it.”

The public rebuke underscores growing tension within conservative ranks over foreign policy, military intervention, and the future direction of the Republican Party. Whether Greene’s outburst reflects a broader shift among grassroots voters—or an isolated personal break—remains to be seen. What is clear is that the debate over America First is far from settled, and the battle lines are now being drawn in full public view.
