MLB Vet Destroys Newsom on SAT Comments!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

For context, a 960 SAT score is below the national average on the 1600-point test. Newsom has frequently cited his dyslexia as a factor in his academic performance, discussing how it affected his reading and learning in previous interviews.

Pham, a 12-year MLB veteran and current free agent, took to social media to call out the governor’s comments as offensive. On Instagram, he shared a clip of the exchange with the caption: “I can’t relate… I was a straight A student and scored well on my SAT he thinks black ppl are dumb.”

The baseball star followed up with another post highlighting Newsom’s apparent contradictions. In a separate clip, the governor boasted during a podcast that he read a 260-page book in just an hour and a half—raising questions about the consistency of his statements regarding literacy.

Newsom’s remarks drew sharp responses from commentators and elected officials. Many called the comments patronizing, pointing out that they seemed to lower expectations for Black Americans. Rapper Nicki Minaj criticized the governor, saying his method of connecting “involved telling them how stupid he is & that he can’t read,” implying it assumed the audience lacked intelligence.

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) weighed in, tweeting, “Black Americans aren’t your low bar,” and emphasizing the accomplishments of Black Americans across business, politics, and other sectors.

Rather than directly apologizing, Newsom attempted to shift blame to President Donald Trump and his supporters. A spokesperson, Izzy Gardon, told reporters that the backlash was “MAGA-manufactured outrage,” noting that Newsom has publicly discussed his SAT scores and dyslexia for years, including in appearances with conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Mayor Dickens also defended Newsom, posting on Instagram that the moment was “a moment of vulnerability about his own journey” and not intended as an attack on anyone.

Still, critics argue that Newsom’s attempt at relatability fell flat, highlighting a disconnect between his self-portrayal and the achievements of the audience he was addressing. With rising attention to his 2028 ambitions, commentators say the episode could have lasting political consequences.

  1. Gavin Newscum better watch his mouth and what he says. Him and the rest of the democrat party are all low lives and pieces of shit.
They should change their name to the fucken asshole party. And Newscum and the democrat pieces of shit better stop blaming President Trump for all kinds of nonsense.
Democrats should point the finger at themselves only. And blames themselves only, and no one else for that matter.
