During a primetime appearance on Fox News Channel’s The Story, Border Czar Tom Homan made clear that the administration’s deportation push is not tapering off. It is expanding. And he put a number on the crisis that Democrats would rather ignore.
After four years of what Republicans describe as deliberate border neglect under former President Joe Biden, Homan says federal agents are now confronting the consequences. Millions crossed illegally. Many were released into the interior. And now, the federal government is working through what he described as a massive enforcement backlog.
Homan did not mince words.
“ICE is just doing the same thing they’ve done in the last three decades,” Homan said. “It’s just that they got more work to do now because of the last four years of open border, with over 10 million people coming across the border, illegally released into the United States, many, many of them public safety threats and national security threats.”
