After a massive federal presence descended on Minneapolis in December, rumors began swirling that the operation was being scaled back. When word broke Thursday morning that hundreds of federal agents were leaving Minnesota, critics immediately asked the obvious question: Was this a retreat?

Then came the line that changed the entire narrative.
Tom Homan stepped to the podium at the Bishop Whipple Federal Building and delivered the reassurance many Americans were waiting for.
“Additionally, federal government personnel assigned to conduct criminal investigations into the agitators, as well as the personnel assigned here for the fraud investigations, will remain in place until the work is done,” Homan said.
That sentence stopped the panic cold.
Operation Metro Surge: A Show of Force
Operation Metro Surge launched in December 2025 after President Donald Trump ordered a major federal deployment into the Minneapolis–St. Paul area. At its peak, roughly 3,000 agents were involved, including 2,000 ICE personnel.

MN is a wreck under Walz and his less-than-qualified (by any standards outside of MN) AG. MN’s actions have shown themselves to be an insurrection. Pelosi and the DNC called January 6 on less substantiated legal grounds, and Trump to this day is being second-guessed concerning his pardons of those entrapped by DNC tactics while Pelosi’s failure to act on January 6 goes unaddressed and Walz continues to defy Federal Law (and Biden stands sacrosanct regarding the pardon of his own son despite previous assurances that he would never issue such a pardon. Does the DNC truly think so little of average Americans as to assume we have no recollections at all of the damage done by Biden, his open borders policy and the subsequent turmoil?
