Former President Barack Obama is once again lecturing Americans about “division,” but many conservatives say his latest comments only underscore how disconnected today’s Democratic elite has become from everyday reality.
In a recent interview with far-left podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen, Obama waved away the lived experience of tens of millions of Americans and instead accused the political right of being the true source of hostility and polarization in the country.
“The other side does the mean, angry, you know, exclusive, us/them, you know, divisive politics. That’s their, that’s, that’s their home court,” Obama claimed during the interview.
“Our court is coming together.”
For many Americans, those remarks landed with a thud. Coming from a former president whose party has spent years demonizing political opponents, censoring dissent, and branding disagreement as “hate,” Obama’s comments struck critics as breathtakingly tone-deaf.
