“You’re probably surprised to hear that. I think we’re doing very well, meaning we have some clues I think that are very strong, and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon,” Trump added.

When pressed by reporters about the scope of the search and where Guthrie might be, Trump drew a distinction between merely looking and actually resolving the case.
“I’m not talking about a search, I’m talking about a solution.”
Trump also indicated that federal agencies may soon release information that could clarify what happened. He stressed that activity related to the investigation had intensified in a short period of time.
“We have some things that I think that we’ll maybe come out reasonably soon from DOJ or FBI or whoever that could be definitive,” he said. “A lot’s taken place in the last couple of hours. A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.”
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her residence in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood near Tucson, Arizona, setting off an extensive search involving both federal and local law enforcement agencies. Given her age and family connection to a high-profile media figure, the case has attracted national attention and intense public scrutiny.
According to reporting from the New York Post, investigators returned to Guthrie’s home on Friday and removed an SUV from the property. Authorities were also seen retrieving a device from the roof of the house, a move that quickly fueled speculation about new evidence in the case.
Former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro explained that a camera located on the roof may not have been identified during the initial examination of the home.
“Apparently on that roof, the agents recovered a new camera, a camera that apparently they hadn’t been aware of and they took it into their custody. I don’t know anymore than that as to why it hadn’t been recovered, what it might see,” Mauro said.
A neighbor of Guthrie’s, Laura Gargano, revealed that she had previously suggested investigators examine the roof more closely. Gargano said something about the home stood out to her when she saw aerial images.
“I did notice on an aerial shot that it looked like her roof had been recoated recently,” Gargano said, adding that it was not normal for the roof to be as clean as it seemed to be.
She explained that recent weather patterns made the roof’s appearance unusual.
“When you recoat your roof it gets dirty pretty quickly and we’ve had lot of rains the previous three weeks, so it would be normal for a roof to be a little dirty,” she added, according to reports.
Gargano emphasized that her observations were simply meant to help investigators consider every possibility.
“If you’re looking for surface people that visited, that’s just one thing to check,” she added. “It could be nothing but I noticed it.”
Authorities have described Guthrie’s disappearance as suspicious from the outset. Investigators have also acknowledged receiving communications related to the case, though they have not confirmed their authenticity or publicly named any suspects.
Trump reiterated that federal agencies are working closely with local officials and stressed that momentum has built in recent days. He said the focus remains on uncovering the truth and determining exactly what happened to Guthrie.
Law enforcement continues to urge anyone with information relevant to the case to come forward. Meanwhile, the Guthrie family has asked for privacy as investigators pursue leads that officials now suggest could soon bring long-awaited answers.
