The late conceptual artist Christo was famous for covering iconic landmarks with massive sheets of fabric. His supporters called it art. His critics called it concealment dressed up as creativity.
Either way, Christo understood one thing better than most. If you wrap something tightly enough, people stop asking what is underneath.
That skill would come in handy for today’s political and media class.
Once again, a serious act of political violence has been quickly buried beneath euphemisms, selective reporting, and deliberate confusion. And once again, the details tell a story the press does not want the public to see.
On Monday, police arrested a 26 year old man after a violent break in attempt at the Ohio home of Vice President J.D. Vance. According to authorities, the suspect used a hammer to smash several windows while attempting to force his way inside the residence.
