Hollywood celebrities are no strangers to political controversy. But every once in a while, one crosses a line that shocks even hardened observers.
Amanda Seyfried did exactly that.
After conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated during a campus event, Seyfried chose not to offer condolences. Instead, she publicly attacked him. Now she is refusing to walk it back and conservative leaders are calling out what they see as stunning hypocrisy and moral blindness.
The actress is now doubling down, even as outrage continues to grow.

Seyfried recently sat down with Who What Wear to promote her latest film. During the interview, she made it clear she has no regrets about her reaction to Kirk’s murder.
“I’m not fing apologizing for that,” Seyfried said. “I mean, for f’s sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course.”
